Anyway, I have to agree with the first commenter Darkness, why do you feel the need to share your &quot;progressive&quot; musical tastes with anyone. You&#39;re like the the new surfer who starts blowing up local surf spots by telling all your kook friends about it. Doing that is going to elicit some serious localism, if you will. Not to say that any one person has more right to experience this type of music more than anyone else but i can&#39;t blame people who live music, play in bands and have sat through tons of shows for being upset that a bunch of band-wagoners that are more motivated by being &quot;hip&quot; start crashing their scene. I always felt that the &quot;hipster&quot; scene, which died 8 years ago according to RL, or indie scene or whatever you want to call it was in direct response to the corporate rock on the radio, or the yuppies, tools and/or douchebags that were more interested in getting laid than appreciating someone&#39;s authentic creativity. And now those lines are starting to get blurred. This goes back many years it&#39;s not something that was born in the internet, social media, or viral marketing age but it certainly has escalated the process. Visit the Village in New York and you will see that the studios or lofts which were once affordable for artists and musicians have all been inhibited albeit at a much steeper rent price by young professionals who wear a suit to the office on Wall Street and throw on a pork pie hat when they get home. Don&#39;t you find that contradictory? CBGB&#39;s was a haven for people who did not share or embrace those yuppy ideals (not to say yuppy ideals are bad here, to each his own)-not a place to pick up chicks. Although I&#39;m sure Richard Hell did well for himself. I think that&#39;s all the first dude was trying to say. If you like the music then be about it, don&#39;t just boast about it.
